WE GOT THE HOUSE!!!!

Yes, you heard me right!! We got it! We were approved the full $198,ooo. I am just so tickled! We close the day before Thanksgiving. I am very excited to get into it! We went through it again yesterday. It is such a beautiful home. The best part, no one has EVER lived in it! Yes, a brand new home! ~sigh~ Now I have to go and start getting this house ready for moving.......

Another big story here in the low country....
My brother in law put his truck in the lake! LOL Yes, the Red Neck yacht club....He was loading up the jet ski from the ramp but the water was lowered in the lake to work on the dam. Well, it slipped into the drink! His little S10 sank like a rock. My 4 yr old nephew was standing on the dock, poor guy! He was very upset. Then they had to run home to call because his phone was in the truck! Luckily, it was paid off and was given $6000 for it. He went out and bought a new truck last night. A BEUtiful F150, fully loaded. You know, the only thing that came good out of it was he was looking to buy a new truck anyway! That and Andrew wasn't in the car when it happened.

Got pulled over on base!

Yes, I got pulled over on base! Get this, I didn't stop long enough at a stop sign. Am I joking? Yeah, I wish....there is no monotary payment. You just lose points and when you get to 20, your sticker is scraped off and you are not allowed on base. LOL I lost 2 or 3 points he said. I personally think it is hilarious! I stopped but it was more of a rolling stop. Oh, well. My feelings are so hurt....notice my sarcasm....LOL

Today I have a parent/teacher conference with Lizzie's teacher. I am assuming it is over her progress. I am hoping she is doing better than she did before her meds. I have to address her hearing issues as well. Poor kid has so much going against her. At least she has us to back her up. I will fight tooth and nail for her!

Girl Scouts are today. I am behind on a Try it. I know that it will all clear up. I need to remember to adjust for these things. We are going to have a puppet show today. I am hoping it goes well. We soon will find out!

We had a wonderful weekend!

This weekend we went to my niece's baptism. My dh and I were her Godparents, just like with Andrew. It went very well. Nice and short. I also got to hang out with my mil. That was really nice. Patty, Patty(Patty was named after her mother), Aunt Janny and I went to the mall. That was fun minus not having money to spend. Remember, we need it for that house.....
The only downside was having to go to lunch with my fil. He sat and begged off my kids after he had Lasagne. (we went to Olive Garden) Then he got on Mike about Mike having a root canal and not telling him and then about him taking something....Long stupid story.
Well, yesterday, our last day there we took them all to Edventure, Columbias childrens museum. It has this HUGE boy that you can go inside. My boy was too afraid of him. His brain has electricity and weird noises which spooked him out. LOL
The one thing that bothered me this weekend was all the smoking. Everyone minus Matt and I smoked. Not just outside but inside. I was so sick Sunday morning from all the exposure. My parents smoked around me constantly so I was sick all the time. Now Andrew has been. Even Carly has had some issues. I really wish she wouldn't smoke around them.

New house?

Well, we are trying to buy a new house. I shouldn't even bring it up. I might jinx myself. Well, we went to look at it yesterday. We have driven by it a milllion times but we actually went in. It is in another chief's neighborhood, a buddy of my husband. He is the coach for the team Mike is asistant to. It is gorgous. All the kids were so tickled. The only down side is they have to switch schools. This one seems much nicer though.
Today, we went in to the office and talked numbers. We had the price lowered by a few thousand and got the loan process going. Right now we are just waiting for the approval call. We will hear about it in the morning. I will not be too crushed if we don't but it would be nice. If we get approved tomorrow, we close the 5th of October. We would wait until the weekend of the 15th, when he reenlists. This gives us time to paint and move some of the small stuff.
I had my eye exam yesterday. My eyes were dilated. Fun....LOL I had the worst time driving home. It is only like 4 blocks and 20 miles an hour but it was still rough. Hopefully when I get new glasses next week, my headaches will go away.

my daughter has a hearing problem

Today my eldest daughter was seen by an audiologist for fluid in her ears. Well, she has a hearing problem. It isn't really bad but bad enough for attention. We will try to solve it with allergy medications. They think that may be the reason for the fluid, hence the hearing problem. I know I suffer from the same thing. It feels like a pressure on your ear canal. You want to open your mouth wide to relieve the pressure but it just doesn't go away. I have to read lips while you speak with me if we are in a loud room. I wonder if she has to do the same and that is why she has a hard time listening.......

Saturday, our first trip!

It was a crazy Saturday, I tell you what! We took 15 girls down to the beach for the annual beach/river sweep. First off, there was hardly any trash to pick up! Now that really would not have been bad but it was so HOT out there with NO breeze at all! My family goes down there a lot, even on hot days but there is usually a breeze. It seriously would not have been so bad if it weren't for the heat. The girls were about done a half hour into it. They did get a frisbee out of it and the adults got a cool mesh bag with a zipper coin purse attached.
Honestly, the thing that made the day go sour is I got a migraine while there. It didn't really hit until I got home, THANK GOD! I took my migraine stuff, which by the way, doesn't work! I guess it would if I took it like it says, one pill every hour, it would do it but I don't want to take all the medication. I need to try Excedrin Migraine. The tension headache stuff kicks *ss!! I will have to remember next time I go to the store.
You know I do have a BIG vent!!! VIKINGS FOOTBALL!!! Oh, my gosh! Mike Tice is a true idiot! My mom says he is really BIG and sweet in person. She met him at a party last year. Lord, it seems like he got the job out of sheer luck that he just happened to be the assistant to Dennis Green. With all the racial crap, I really like Dennis. I don't know, I think him and Randy Moss brought it on themselves. You don't hear the "N" word brought up with Daunte (love you guy!) or with Kevin Garnett. Boy, I have ran into that guy a lot. All of his buddies lived in the same neighborhood as my sisters bf. I also ran into him at ToysRus, of all places. Small world? That and my mom used to help Daunte Culpepper out wiring his family money back when he was a fresh kid, new to first string on the Vikings.

This is something from a past post that I wanted to update with my accomplishments and where they are now.
My list of goals

  • stabalize financially

We have evened out finally. Soon we will have a good savings set up!

  • get bills evened out

Goes with the first one

  • pay off our one loan

This will not happen until he reenlists

  • start NFCU savings

Again, the first answer

  • begin home school process for Michael

This has been put on hold until I get the house in order, yes laziness

  • stick to fitness goals

When I get my sleep back on track and the house back, meaning until I get the fifth room turned into a TV/playroom. This goes for the next following goals.

set into pilates
get into 20 min walks on tread mill

I have not been posting. The reason? Things have been going so well. The only bad thing that is going on right now is my time clock is all out of wack! I am wide awake and it is almost midnight. I really want to get back on track.
Well, it looks like we are going to go see the house this weekend, the one we were originally going to buy. We never went and saw it! I really think this would be the best bet if we are going to do this. It is the least expensive house. Plus, Mike would get rides to work here.
Girl Scouts is going very well! We have FOUR new Brownies. That is SEVEN in all! Isn't that awesome? We have had two inquiries today. Latisha was supposed to get back to me with their numbers but must have got caught up with stuff.
This weekend, we are taking the girls to the annual Beach/River sweep. It will be our first event for the year. I am very excited to see how it turns out! The only thing I do NOT look forward to is getting up and being at our meeting spot at 8 am! I am so NOT a morning person, and never will be!
Well, I really should try to sleep. Just wanted to get my 2 cents in there!

I'm still alive!!!

It has been a wild ride lately, but luckily it is all done.......I hope. I am much better and so is Miss Emma. Girl Scouts started back up yesterday and went very well! I am excited for the new year to get going. We have so much planned for the girls. I also have a big leader camp training thing next month that I am sooooo looking forward to.
Well, I must go get the two babies up and go get an oil change. I am way over..... Wednesday is ladies day, so I get a large discount. I also need to run to council and pay for Locomotion, that Leader camp thing, before the early bird price goes up!
